This section will provide you with information about diving and diving related courses offered by instructor level members of the dive club. The courses are not provided by JSDC and all arrangements need to be made between you and the instructor offering the course.
PADI courses with Sven Voelk :
I am a PADI Master Instructor since the early 90ies offering PADI courses from Open Water Diver to Assistant Instructor. I don't really teach the OWD level at the moment. There are several other instructors offering it. If you really want to take the OWD course with me, please contact me for further information. The Advanced Open Water, Rescue, Divemaster and Assistant Instructor courses are available year around, please contact me for arrangements. Also available are the following PADI Specialty courses: Peak Performance Buoyancy, U/W Navigation, Research, Deep, Multilevel, Night, U/W Naturalist, Wreck, Search & Recovery, Nitrox, Boat, Drift and the following non-diving specialties: Project Aware, Aware Coral Reef Conservation and Oxygen First Aid Provider. I am a SDI (Scuba Diving International) instructor also. Courses offered are from Open Water to Assistant Instructor (and / or crossovers between PADI and SDI). NAUI recreational courses with Ian Baston:
I have been a scuba diver for 19 years receiving my certification in 1987 from the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC). In 1998 I became a BSAC Advanced Instructor (equivalent CMAS ***). Between that time I also qualified as a National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI) Instructor in 1996, as an Instructor Trainer in 1997 and finally as a NAUI Course Director in 1999. At the moment I offer BSAC courses from Ocean Diver to Dive Leader. My NAUI courses are from Scuba Diver to Instructor Trainer. I am also a certified First Aid and CPR Instructor, A Divers Alert Network (DAN) Oxygen Instructor and offer these courses as well.
I am a certified Nitrox Diver, a certified Visual Inspector for diving cylinders, as well as a member of the Historical Diving Society.
I have dived in Germany, Jamaica, Turks and Caicos Islands, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Maldives, Australia and New Zealand.
My Diving has consisted of reef surveys for the setting up of a marine park, the protection and the cleaning up of reefs. Diving as a camera and lighting assistant for film documentaries, as a semi-professional underwater photographer, as an Instructor and of course just for pleasure.
